Thomas A. Snyder, 61, of Davis St., Youngsville, and formerly of Irvine, died unexpectedly Wednesday September 18, 2013 at the Warren General Hospital.
He was born January 15, 1952 in Warren, a son of the late Arthur H. and Mary (Nichols) Snyder. Tom was a 1969 graduate of Youngsville High School and then went on to work at the National Forge, now the Ellwood Forge, working in the finishing Dept. Tom also drove bus Y11 for 34 years for Johnson Transportation. He was a 40 year member of the Youngsville Vol. Fire Dept., and member of the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club. Tom enjoyed woodworking, lottery tickets, and trips to the casino. He was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather.
Tom is survived by his loving wife, Pricilla Goodwill Snyder, whom he married in Warren in 1971, 2 daughters, Wendy Snyder of Youngsville, and Jennifer Snyder Thomson of Warren, a granddaughter, Brianna Fortman, 3 sisters, Mary (Brad) Swanson of Sugar Grove, Carol (John) Vibbert of Warren and Judith (Chuck) Barnes of Missouri, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 26 p.m. at the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 314 N. Main St. in Youngsville. A funeral service will be held there on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Mark Fischer, pastor of the Saron Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Youngsville Cemetery.
