New viewing platform

A new observation platform along the Rimrock Trail at Kinzua Beach was officially opened Wednesday afternoon during a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Joe Colosimo of Pennsylvania Kinzua Pathways (PKP) welcomed representatives from volunteer groups and organizations that donated and participated in the effort, including Penn Soil Resource Conservation and Development Council, Bollinger Enterprises Incorporated (BEi), the Warren County Career Center, the DeFrees Family Foundation, Ekey's, Lowe's, Hawbarker Brokenstraw Aggregate, John and Lynn Allen and others. From left are Wes Ramsey, executive director of Penn Soils, which acted as a financial agent collecting non-profit donations; Bob Klebacha, director of BEi, which donated $500 for interpretive signs and volunteer labor; Dan Passmore of the Career Center; Nicole Stewart, designer of the platform; Colosimo; Nicole Huya of BEi; Coralee Wenzel of PKP; Jim Farnsworth of BEi and John Pearson of BEi.
