Here is the varsity slate of action for all county teams for Friday, Oct. 4, and Saturday, Oct. 5:

The Randy Wolfe Memorial Trap Shoot, to benefit the Sheffield High School trapshooting team, will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, at the Sheffield Rod & Gun Club.

The Knights of Columbus will hold a soccer challenge, for boys and girls ages 10-14, on Saturday at the North Warren soccer fields across from Bob Evans restaurant. Registration starts at 1 p.m., and the competition starts at 2 p.m.
Each competitor will get 15 kicks at the goal, and the goal will be divided into five different point sections.
Jr. high hoops
Beaty's eighth-grade girls topped Youngsville A, 34-23, on Thursday. Rachel Wilson led Beaty with 14 points, Taylor Lucks had nine, Chelsea Wees five, Abby Bouchard four and Margo Loutzenhiser two. For Youngsville, Caitlin Craig had 10 points, Alanna Hultberg four, and Paige Mineweaser, Lauren Crowther and Autumn Hultberg two each.
Beaty's seventh-graders stayed unbeaten with a 54-18 win over Youngsville. Gracie Wood had 17 points for Beaty, Laura Lucks 14, Lily Nebinski eight, Ceci Citro six, Francesca Beuger five, and Sierra Matson and Kadee Merenick two points each. For Youngsville, Autumn Hultberg had 14 points and Ireland Smith two.

Beaty-Warren Middle School defeated Sheffield, 14-6, in seventh grade football action Thursday at War Memorial Field. Beaty's Griffin Suppa had a rushing touchdown in the first half as well as a passing touchdown in the second half, and also converted both extra points. Sheffield's Austin Simmer found the end zone in the third quarter to but the Wolverines on the board.
Defensively, Caleb Ei, Marvin Bryant, Devin McMeans, and Aidan Morrison played well for the Dragons, and McMeans and Jacob Kupchella added interceptions.
9th grade grid
The Warren ninth-grade football team earned a shootout win over Corry, 48-44, Thursday at War Memorial Field. Solomon Gross racked up touchdown runs of 69 yards, 28 yards, 42 yards, 33 yards, and 49 yards, a kickoff return of 65 yards, and a pair of two-point conversions to lead the Dragons. Warren's other score came on a 16-yard pass from Seth Baldensperger to Brendan Matson. Baldensperger also hit Noah Becker for a two-point conversion on one of Gross' scores. The defensive line of Joey Carlson, Austin Brenner, Hayden Salapek, Duke Lilja, and Derek Nowacki played well for the Dragons. The Warren ninth-graders will return to action next Thursday, visiting Strong Vincent.
Eisenhower High School graduate Kelsey Repke had 22 digs for Pitt-Bradford's women's volleyball team (7-11) in a 3-1 win over Alfred State on Tuesday.
