Flu shots will be given at ACC on Wednesday, Oct. 9, from 10 a.m. to noon. The public is welcome and urged to get their flu shot. Both entrances to the Center at 42 Clark Street have handicap parking and elevators to the second floor. Don't forget to bring your Medicare card with you. Self pay is $25.
The Senior Expo is Friday, Oct. 25, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Allegheny Community Center, 42 Clark Street, sponsored by the Warren/Forest Eldercare Council. Event features over 60 health-related vendors plus several free services and health screenings, including hearing, blood pressure, pulse oxygen & glucose and flu shots. All Seniors are encouraged to attend. There's plenty of parking available, too.

ACC is open from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday with extended hours until 7 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday. ACC is closed for all activities and meals on legal holidays and on those days when Warren County schools are closed unexpectedly due to bad weather. Hot lunches or light alternative lunches are available Monday-Friday at noon. You can call your reservation to 723-3237. Bistro lunch is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with no reservation required. Take-outs available.
The Warren-Forest Area Agency on Aging will serve the following menu at Allegheny Community Center and other Warren-Forest centers Oct. 7-11: stuffed peppers Monday; fish Tuesday; spaghetti Wednesday; ham Thursday; breakfast for lunch Friday. Locations at Marienville, Sheffield, Tidioute and Endeavor will serve menus from Monday, Tuesday and Friday for the three-day sites. Eligible participation is 60 years and older with a suggested donation of $3. Call 723-3763 for information regarding congregate meal sites or center locations.
