The fire that destroyed The Forest Press will not stop the presses.
The newspaper office in Tionesta burned to the ground after fire broke out at about 6 a.m. Monday following a one-vehicle crash that may have led to the fire.
Owner and Publisher Mike Sample also owns The Titusville Herald and The Forest Press is setting up shop there temporarily. According to Associated Press reports, Editor Kathy Culver said The Forest Press will publish as scheduled on Wednesday.
Both newspapers are printed in Corry.
According to Marienville-based state police, Kevin M. Wilson, 25, of Franklin was driving his car on Route 36 in Tionesta when the vehicle left the road and struck a utility pole at about 5:55 a.m.
The vehicle "sheared the pole and continued south as it rolled over," police said. The vehicle rolled onto its roof and came to rest in the middle of the road.
Police said Wilson fled the scene of the crash and was later found nearby.
Police have charged Wilson with traffic violations.
No connection between the crash and the fire had been proven as of Tuesday afternoon.
