Carmela Servidio Manfrey, of St. Petersburg, quietly passed away on October 24, 2013 after a brief illness. She was 83. Born in Ludlow, Pennsylvania, she moved to Warren, Pennsylvania in 1953, where she resided for over 20 years. In 1974 she moved with her then husband Eugene Manfrey and her family to St. Petersburg and has resided there ever since. She was the beloved mother of Barbara Vogelstein (John), Kathleen Callahan (Kevin), Michael Manfrey (Kathy), Paula Durspek and Paul Manfrey (Jennifer). A devoted grandmother, she was adored by her five grandchildren, Gregory Durspek, Michelle Manfrey, Samuel Manfrey, Avery Manfrey and Olivia Manfrey. She is also survived by her three sisters, Mary Olmsted, Michelina Cardone and Rose Servidio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rose and John Servidio, and by her brother Frank Servidio. A loving, caring mother, she spent her life surrounded by her closelyknit and devoted family. She touched the lives of everyone she met, and her warm smile lit up every room. Her family, friends and acquaintances will miss her sparkling brown eyes, her gracious hospitality and her exceptional baking. A Celebration of Life will be held at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to PARC, a nonprofit organization assisting adults and children with developmental disabilities, 3190 Tyrone Blvd North, St. Petersburg, FL 33710 (www.parcfl.org).
