Reading winners

November 26, 2013
The Times Observer

The Warren Public Library Children's Department recently encouraged early literacy with an Autumn Reading Incentive. This incentive, for ages 2 and older, encouraged children to read at least five books about farms and/or farm animals. The books could be fiction or nonfiction. Particpants turned in a form listing all the books they read, and their names were entered into a drawing. Three names were drawn, and each child received a plush farm house with five stuffed farm animals plus a copy of David Shannon's "Duck on a Bike" with a read-along CD. The three winners are: Arlene Alyssa Boisvert, Jahzara Hunter and Emma Rarey. Emma is a two-time winner as she has participated in previous reading incentives.
