The Warren County Historical Society has kicked off a new fundraiser for the holidays, selling decks of commemorative playing cards that feature historic photos of Warren County's past.
Board members Cindy DeChano, Debbie Fitzsimmons and Stephanie Scutella, along with Managing Director Michelle Gray, began early last spring making plans and selecting vintage photos from the historical society's image collections.
Gray said, "Vice President of the board of directors Stephanie Scutella spent a large part of her summer soliciting sponsors for each of the playing cards."

An office at the Warren Times Mirror, circa 1935, appears on the ace of hearts in the Warren County Historical Society’s deck of cards.
The cards represent businesses and individuals, such as the aces, which are sponsored by Oneida Lumber/Ace Hardware, Schoenborn Management, LLC, Times Observer, Winans Insurance and Employee Benefits. The two jokers are sponsored by West Rock Holdings, LLC and Allegheny Enterprises.
Local graphic designer Allegheny Bean Company was selected by the Historical Society to design and print the cards.
"ABC created an excellent, pristine product that the Warren County Historical Society is very proud to share with everyone," Gray said.
The cards are sold in a hard plastic case for storage and protection.
The cards can be purchased for $11 per deck at the Warren County Historical Society, 210 Fourth Ave., Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or online at www.warrenhistory.org
