Bad check. Conewango Township Police said Chad Nelson, of Frewsburg, N.Y., wrote a check to Kinzua County Auction in the amount of $1,449.55 on Nov. 5. The check was returned after it was determined the account had been closed. A criminal complaint has been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer's office. Further court action is pending.
Hit and run. Conewango Township Police report that between 2 and 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 19 an unknown vehicle, believed to be a pick-up truck, backed into a white Dodge Intrepid that had been legally parked in the Radio Shack parking lot in North Warren. Police said after striking the Intrepid, the suspect vehicle fled the scene. The Intrepid sustained damage to the hood. Anyone with information is asked to contact the township police.
Crash. Warren-based state police report on Dec. 17 at 10 p.m., an unidentified vehicle was traveling south on West Street when it struck a vehicle legally parked in a driveway, then fled the scene. According to police, the unidentified vehicle is believed to have damage to the driver's side light assembly, bumper, grille and hood.
