Hit and run. Conewango Township Police said sometime between 1 and 2:15 p.m. on Jan. 11, someone struck a blue 2006 Dodge Durango owned by April and Michael Barr, Clarendon, which was legally parked in the Walmart parking lot. The vehicle sustained damage to the driver side front wheel well as a result of the incident. The suspect fled the scene. Anyone with information is asked to contact the township police.
Retail theft. Conewango Township Police said on Dec. 29, at 8:06 am. Jessica Hann, Warren, went into Walmart and removed four packs of magic playing cards and a shower curtain from the shelves in the store. She then took those items to the customer service desk claiming that she had bought them and lost her receipt. Police said Walmart personnel gave Hann the total value of the stolen items as a refund, $95.19. Police charged Hann with retail theft for the violation.
Hit and run. Warren-based state police said that at 3 p.m. on Jan. 1 an unknown driver in an older model blue Ford, possibly an Explorer or Ranger, was traveling north on Forest Street. Police said the vehicle traveled off the east side of the road and struck two metal sliding doors on a building behind the Town and Country Store. The vehicle backed up north and then left the scene headed south. Police said the driver failed to stop and provide information to the property owner. The unknown vehicle has front end damage with both front side markers missing pieces. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at 728-3600.
Theft. Warren-state police said between 4 p.m. Jan 3 and 5:30 p.m. Jan. 5 someone took an orange Husquarna 262 20-inch blade logging chainsaw, orange 372 20-inch blade logging chainsaw, Harbor Freight winch, black Craftsman toolbox containing a socket set, vice grips and various hand tools from property owned by Dennis Martin, 63, Grand Valley. Total estimated value is approximately $2,100, police said.
