City of Warren firefighters responded to an attic fire Monday night, and quick response kept damage to a minimum.
Firefighters responded to 715 W. Fifth Ave. shortly after 10 p.m. Monday where they found a fire already well underway.
"When we got there, there was a pretty involved fire in the attic," City Fire Department Chief Sam Pascuzzi said Tuesday morning. "We got it taken care of pretty quickly."
According to Pascuzzi, firefighters were on the scene for approximately two and a half hours, and managed to contain the blaze and keep damage to a minimum.
He said damage was mostly confined to the attic, while the first and second floor suffered limited water damage.
"It went pretty well," Pascuzzi said. "The guys made good stop on the fire."
Pascuzzi did not comment on the cause of the blaze.
Emergycare responded on scene and Pleasant volunteer firefighters remained on standby.
There were no injuries in the incident.
