Hit and run. Conewango Township police responded to a two-vehicle accident at 4:26 p.m. Jan. 25, at the intersection of Follett Run and Weiler roads. According to police, Douglas Bush, Clarendon, was traveling west on Follett Run in his Dodge Grand Caravan when he came to the intersection with Weiler Road, and a green car, believed to be a Ford Escort, was traveling north on Weiler Road. Police said the Escort drove through the stop sign and collided with Bush's vehicle, then fled the scene west on Follett Run. Police said the Escort is believed to have damage to the passenger side front end, including a badly damaged passenger side front wheel.
Hit and run. Warren-based police said Amanda R. Salvatore, 24, Spartansburg, was eastbound on Buells Corners Road at 12:45 a.m. Jan. 26 in her Subaru Outback Sport, east of the Crawford County line. According to police, Salvatore lost control on the snow-covered roadway causing her vehicle to travel 16 feet off the north side of the roadway striking a utility pole. Police said Salvatore failed to report the crash to the nearest police agency and failed to contact the utility company to report the damage to the pole. Police said Salvatore, who removed her vehicle from the scene, will answer to the charges before District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth.
