I am a former resident of Warren who was recently alerted to a homophobic letter to the editor printed in the Warren Times Observer.
I can't understand why some members of the population do not get thismarriage is a civil union and not a religious one.
Being gay is not a "choice" any more than being straight is.
Fifty years from now, people who were so vocally and "morally" opposed to gay rights will be viewed in the same way as those who opposed the civil rights movement.
I truly cannot understand why anyone would feel threatened by a gay couple having the same rights as a straight couple. I was raised to believe that Christianity involved love, not hate.
