Crash. Corry-based state police report on March 15 at 1:34 p.m., an unnamed driver was traveling east on Rt. 957 near Panama Rd. delivering mail when the vehicle she was driving was struck by another vehicle forcing it over a mailbox and into a ditch. Neither driver was injured. The driver of the second vehicle was charged with driving on roadways laned for traffic.
Theft. Conewango Township Police report a ton of industrial steel shelving was stolen from an Owens Rd. property over the Feb. 22 weekend. On Feb. 24, Jamestown, N.Y., Police arrested Justin Justice, 18 of Warren and an unnamed 17-year-old male for possession of stolen steel at Weitsman's recycling center in Jamestown. Further investigation lead to the identification of Steven Flick, 21, and Brendon Garrett, 19, both of Warren, along with two related thefts of scrap steel from WAHS Career Center. Justice and the 17-year-old male were charged with trespass and theft at the WAHS Career Center on two occasions and another theft, loitering, prowling at night, and trespass at Owens Rd. Flick and Garrett were charged with theft, loitering, prowling at night and trespass for the same Owens Rd. incident. The total value of the steel from both locations is estimated at $590.
