A breakfasgt fundraiser will be held Saturday from 7:30-10:30 a.m. at the JoyFul Cafe, 179 Davis Street (JoyFul Cafe is located at the Marsh Street entrance).
For a donation we will be serving eggs, toast, sausage gravy and biscuits, pancakes and drinks. The event supports the Youngsville Free Methodist Children and Youth programs. The public is invited.
The fifth week of the Lenten Services of Youngsville Area Ministerium that include Worship followed by a light luncheon will be held Pittsfield Otterbein United Methodist Church at noon on April 9 with Pastor Steve Gruver presiding at the Lenten Service. Members of the church will host the luncheon.
It's time for the annual Fun Auction at the Irvine Presbyterian Church. Join in the laughs Sunday from 1- 5 p.m. There will be all manner of donated goods and services to challenge your bidding skills. On the bidding list, you might find a home cooked meal, baby-sitting, leaf raking, hand-made wood items, hand-knit items, home-made goodies like fudge, pecan pies, bread or brandy, and much more. Snacks, hot sandwiches, and beverages will be sold.
The Irvine Church is one of the county's historical treasures. The auction is one of the most important fundraisers for church maintenance and grounds improvements at that site.

Youngsville Borough Offices and services will be closed on Friday April 18th in observance of Good Friday.
Easter Egg Hunt
The Pittsfield Community Easter Egg hunt will be on Saturday, April 19, at 11 a.m. at Friendship Field. In addition to prizes the Otter Express Puppets will perform following the hunt at the Pittsfield Community Center. Parking is available behind the community center.
The Pittsfield Community Playground is hoping to get the playground in this Spring. We are so close now. We have enough to purchase the playground; we still will need enough for the fence. There will be a Sub Sale on April 12 to benefit the playground. So come by and grab a sub at the Pittsfield Otterbein Church at noon before going back out to fish! The price for the subs will be $6 a piece, 2 for $10, or 5 for $20. The choices will be turkey and cheese, or ham and cheese. The Friends of Rouse will have its Annual Silent Auction on April 26 at the Youngsville Fire Hall. It is a basket raffle, bake sale. Lunch will be available for purchase.
You may take chances on a lottery tree, (3 winners), a family basket, and put your name in for a door prize. The doors open at 11 a.m., and the winners of the baskets will be announced at 12:30 pm.

Spring Clean-up will be held on May 3 at the Borough building parking lot at 40 Railroad St. from 8:00 a.m. to noon. Minimum fees are $10 per car or $20 per truck. Identification is required.
Members of Senior Girl Scout Troop 30699 met and used resources at the Youngsville Public Library to complete the necessary credentials toward achieving a Novelist Badge. Just a few of the checkpoints that the Senior Scouts had to complete for the badge included: deconstruct a novel, write and edit at least 20 pages, discuss and create characters, and develop a plot. Culminating activities also included career exploration conducive to writing, such as editor, publisher, technical writer, theater critic, and young adult novelist. Troop leaders Marlene Jewell and Kris Renninger facilitated the process.
Cinco race forms
From its beginning, the Cinco Race and Walk Event has actively supported the five libraries located within Warren County. Each year all race proceeds are donated to the five libraries in Warren County and are collectively used toward the purchase of library materials- which, in turn, benefits all residents of Warren County. This year, registration forms, information, and displays can be found at each library in addition to their website www.runthecinco.com. The large display at Youngsville Library includes many photos of participants and well- wishers as well as registration forms.
The Cinco Races and Walks are a unique rural race that offers running races of 22.7-miles and running races and fun walks of 13.1-miles, 5-miles, 3.1-miles, and 1.5 miles.
"The Cinco Event is more than just a community race and not only because of their generosity to each of our libraries," stated Library Director, Kristy Wallace. "This community event is Cinco de Mayo-themed with a focus on fun for the whole family. They also offer events from bike safety, fly fishing and urban geocaching instruction to chair massages, arts activities, a magic show, storytelling, face painting and even free dashes for the kids to participate in while parents run or walk. They even have bull costumes for kids and adults to wear if you'd rather interact with the crowd! We are so grateful to the entire Cinco crew for undertaking this event each year and to everyone who registers and participates. As a county, our libraries really do benefit from this event."

The YHS Alumni Picnic is an annual event held the second Tuesday of July. This year the picnic will be held at the Youngsville Fire Hall on July 8 from noon to 4 p.m. All YHS graduates who have graduated 50 and plus years ago are invited. This year event is hosted by the class of 1962; and the class of 1963 is invited as honored guests. All graduates from 1962 and 1963 are especially encouraged to attend and experience this annual reunion along with all other YHS alumni. Camp Halo is a Christian Camp located in Spring Creek. "This is our 4th summer for the camp, in this location," stated director Barbara Pfeil. We run one-week camps From June 27 - Aug. 1. Camp Halo was started to be a safe place for kids who can't afford to go to camp. They come here to get a change from their everyday life. Campers are selected from Warren and Corry areas to attend camp free of charge.
Retreats are for kids ages 6-15. They enjoy three full meals each day, fun, games, swimming and crafts. The camp has daily devotions and chapel time each day. Camp Halo is solely run on generous support from the communities, organizations and individuals.
Camp Halo is in need of clothing for children ages 7- 15 sizes 6- 16 boys and girls and some adult clothing. New undergarments are needed for boy and girls.
