Spring Clean Up
A spring clean up day for Pine Grove Township residents will be held on Saturday, May 17, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Township Garage. No oil, paint, or liquid hazardous waste, asbestos, propane tanks, yard waste, household garbage, batteries, tires, or electronics will be accepted. Drivers' licenses will be checked to verify township residency. The cost will be $5 for cars and vans; $10 for pick-up trucks and trailers.

YORK, Pa. (AP) - Police say someone smashed windows and caused an estimated $25,000 in damage at Penn State's York campus.
The vandalism and burglary happened late Saturday night at the school's main classroom building. The vandal smashed 13 windows and threw a chair into a vending machine.
The York campus opened late Monday and followed a shortened schedule to allow enough time for cleanup.
Officials said all of the damage happened in less than 15 minutes. They said security cameras recorded the incident.
An investigation is underway. No arrests have been made.
CLAYTON, Mo. (AP) - The trial of a Pennsylvania man accused of molesting a 9-year-old girl at the Clayton Ritz-Carlton is scheduled to begin Monday.
Forty-five-year-old Daniel Hughes of the Philadelphia suburb of Conshohocken is accused of entering the wrong room at the luxury hotel while drunk in March 2011.
Hughes allegedly received the wrong room key when he told a front desk clerk that he had lost his own key. He then forced his way into the locked room while the girl's parents were in an adjoining room. Hughes reportedly told police he thought the child was a female acquaintance.
SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) - Police in northeastern Pennsylvania are investigating whether there is a link between a woman missing since November and a body found over the weekend.
The Lackawanna County coroner's office said Monday that dental records from the body will be compared with dental records of 56-year-old Diane Zavislak of Kingston Township.
She was reported missing in November.
On Saturday, police were called to a Lackawanna County property near a road that runs along the Susquehanna River.
after a man discovered a body in a pond.
The missing woman's car was found in November a few miles upstream from where the body was located.
Police said they are investigating if the body is that of Zavislak, but will not know for sure until results of an autopsy are completed.
