Tidioute Area Health
& Dental Center, Inc.
On May 14 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., the Community Foundation of Warren County will be hosting "Warren Gives" - a 12-hour online donation event that will allow donors to give to their favorite charities on-line.
We ask for your consideration in using this event to donate to the Tidioute Area Health & Dental Center, Inc. (TAHDC, Inc.) - a non-profit organization made up of approximately 12 volunteer Tidioute residents who are dedicated to making sure that Tidioute retains this health, dental and pharmacy center for the benefit of all residents.
Fundraising for the construction of the building was begun in late 2008 and the first patients were seen in November 2010. TAHDC, Inc. received one state grant for construction purposes in the amount of $223,800 and the balance needed to complete the building (over $467,00 was raised entirely by donations from local residents, alumni, visitors, and businesses in the Warren and Forest counties areas.
Being a non-profit organization, the only income received by TAHDC, Inc. is a very minimal monthly rent from the pharmacy portion of the center which is used for maintenance of the building and grounds. The construction of the sidewalk and a new driveway into the parking lot on the corner of Buckingham and Main streets will begin in June for the use of the Health Center staff and for Tidioute residents during off-hours of the Center.
Your donations during the Warren Gives on-line event will enable us to ensure that the center and staff will remain and be available for all residents and non-residents alike now and into the future.
To make an on-line donation on May 14, access the website: warrengives, org (a very secure website). You can then click on "Organizations" and select your preference and then click on the "Donate" button on your organization's page. Minimum donations are $25. Visa, MasterCard and Discover will be accepted for this event. One hundred percent of your donation goes directly to the charity.
A $35,000 match will be distributed among the organizations based on totals raised at the end of the event.
For those that don't have internet access, or would prefer not to donated online, you can send a check payable to TAHDC, Inc. and mail it to TAHDC, Inc., 52 Jefferson St., Tidioute, PA 16351. However, these donations will not be included in the WarrenGives event, but will still be accepted.
