DUI. Warren-based state police reported that a traffic stop was conducted on May 10 at 2:55 a.m. in the area of Route 6 and Scott Run Road for a vehicle with no rear tail lights. Police said the driver, Richard Foster, 29, Bradford, was found to under the influence of alcohol. Police said charges are pending with District Justice Laura Bauer for DUI and several other summary traffic violations.
Harassment. Warren-based state police reported that on May 10 at 7:35 p.m. Alesha Ann-marie Butterfield, 19, entered into a verbal argument with Gayle Downing, 30. Police said Downing then struck Butterfield on the head two times with a closed fist. Charges of harassment were filed through District Justice Laura Bauer's office.
Burglary. Warren-based state police are investigating a burglary that occurred sometime between May 8 and 10 on Conewango Avenue. Police said someone cut a lock to a shed and stole several items, including a riding lawn mower and weed eater belonging to Arlene Barnett. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crimestoppers.
Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a motorcycle accident on May 11 at 3:50 p.m. on Route 59. Police said the crash occurred as James Eaton lost control of the motorcycle on the east side of the Casey bridge while passing another vehicle. Eaton was flown to UPMC with moderate injuries. Police said Eaton was wearing a helmet. Police were assisted at the scene by Clarendon volunteer firefighters and EmergyCare. Police said the investigation continues.
DUI. Warren-based state police reported that on May 11 at 8:22 p.m. a traffic violation was called in on a vehicle belonging to Charles Allan Stewart, 31, Waterford. Police said while patrolling the area they located the vehicle in the Kwik Fill parking lot at the intersection of Routes 27 and 6. Police said Stewart was found seated in his vehicle, which was running and parked along the side of the building. While speaking with Stewart, police said they suspected him to be under the influence of alcohol at the time. Stewart was subsequently placed under arrest for DUI and transported to the state police barracks for processing. Police said charges include two counts of DUI, careless driving and other summary traffic violations. Charges will be filed through District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth's office in Youngsville.
DUI. Warren-based state police reported that on May 11 at 12:01 a.m. a vehicle driven by Cynthia Jean Christian, 61, Pittsfield, was stopped for a traffic violation on Route 27, west of Torpedo Wire. Police said at the time of the stop, Christian was suspected to be under the influence of alcohol. Christian was subsequently placed under arrest for DUI and transported to the state police barracks for processing. Police said charges include two counts of DUI, careless driving and other summary traffic violations. Charges will be filed through District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth's office in Youngsville.
DUI crash. Youngsville Borough police reported that on May 9 that Mick Peterson, 22, Jamestown, N.Y., was arrested at approximately 10:40 p.m. after losing control of his truck which traveled off of the roadway into a culvert, struck a utility pole, before coming to rest on Highland Avenue near Indian Camp Run. Police said Peterson, who was the driver of the vehicle, was found to be under the influence. Police said charges have been filed with District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth's office.
