Warren's talented 4x400 relay team hasn't even competed at the District 10 Class AAA Track and Field Championships, but one of its members, Ryan Shattuck, is the Times Observer Athlete of the Week, sponsored by McDonald's. Shattuck was named the Warren County Track Meet's Outstanding Track Athlete last week, winning the 110 and 300 hurdles, as well as being part of the winning 4x400 relay, at Sheffield High School. His winning time in the 100 hurdles (16 seconds) wasn't quite as fast as his time on Wednesday (surrounding by teammates after the race), however, in winning the District 10 title in the 110-meter hurdles in 15.68 seconds at Harbor Creek High School. The lightning came before they could complete the 300 hurdles (he's seeded second behind teammate Luke Wortman) and the 1,600 relay - which will be Saturday after the Class AA meet at Harbor Creek.
