Drive-off. Police are investigating retail thefts at Kwik Fill in Sugar Grove. According to Pennsylvania State Police, the driver of a silver Ford F-150 single cab with no tailgate pumped $87 in fuel between 5:39 and 5:45 p.m. May 23 and drove off without paying. Between 5:53 and 6 p.m. May 31, the driver of a truck fitting the same description drove off without paying for $112.01 in fuel. Anyone with information is asked to contact Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.
Theft. Daniel R. Adams, Jamestown, N.Y., was charged with felony theft by unlawful taking, misdemeanor theft by deception, and summary retail theft by Conewango Township Police after an investigation of Adams' alleged activities between January and May, 2014 while he was employed at Kmart in North Warren. Police said Adams stole $3,000 in cash from the cash office, created eight different fraudulent refund transactions "for the purpose of obtaining money for his own use," and stole 22 bottles of soda pop from the store. Police said the total value of the cash and items was $3,099.
