Jack M. Lawson, 67, of Arnold, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at the AlleKiski Medical Center. Born May 25, 1947, in Warren, he was a son of Mendel E. and Mary Abplanalp Lawson. A veteran of the Air Force, he served in Viet Nam. Prior to retiring in 2011, Jack had been employed for 36 years as a service engineer by Ovivo Water Treatment. Jack loved to fly. He actually had a flight simulator set up in his computer room. Jack was a true family man who loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. He was a member of Hillcrest Alliance Church in Lower Burrell. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Brew Lawson; his daughters, Amy (Matthew) Fisher and Dori (Kim) Bean; grandchildren, Alexander, Alyssa and Jarrod; his brothers, David (Ernie) Lawson, and John Lawson; and his sisters, Susan (Boyd) Daugherty, Margie Tome and Marilyn Lawson. Jack is also survived my many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Jennifer Lawson; a granddaughter, Avery Bean; and a brother, Bruce Lawson. Family and friends will be received at a memorial service to be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Hillcrest Alliance Church, 232 Hillcrest Drive, Lower Burrell, with his pastor, Rev.
