DUI crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on June 9 at 1:15 a.m. According to police, the crash occurred as Michael Joseph Garrett, 22, Glade Township, was traveling west on E. Fifth Avenue Ext., a quarter mile west of Quaker Hill Road. Garrett lost control of the vehicle, left the south edge of the roadway and hit a barbed wire fence owned by David Eugene Hunter. The vehicle came to rest in a farm field. Police said Garrett told them he was wearing his seat belt and the air bag did deploy. He sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash. Garrett was transported to Warren General Hospital by Glade VFD for treatment of injuries. Police said charges of DUI and other various traffic violations are pending BAC results.
Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Route 6 west of Barton Run Road on June 5 at 5:42 a.m. Police said Benjamin Scott Curry, 35, Pittsfield, was traveling west and lost control of his vehicle, leaving the north edge of the roadway and hitting a ditch. Curry was not injured as a result of the crash. Police said Curry fled the scene of the crash prior to police arrival and was found a short time later at a nearby residence. Police said he has been charged with DUI along with various other traffic violations pending blood test results.
Harassment. Tidioute Borough police reported that they have charged David R. Kinney, 30, Tidioute, and Gerald McMullen, 20, Tidioute, with harassment after an altercation took place at 157 Main St. at 1:41 p.m. Tuesday where they subjected each other to physical contact.
