Knit in Public Day held

June 18, 2014
Times Observer

The Warren County Fiber Artists celebrated World Wide Knit in Public Day (WWKiP Day) on June 17 on the front yard of Warren Public Library. They brought chairs and their current fiber project and lunch and chatted and worked in the outdoors. WWKiP Day is the largest knitter-run event in the world. Pictured at the Tuesday event outside the Warren Public Library are, from left, Stephanie Russo, who has been knitting since she was 9; Nancy Sobina, who has been knitting 30 years; Phyllis O'Neill, who has been knitting 50 years; Kathy Bimber, who has been knitting since she was 8 or 9; and Priscilla Breese, who has been knitting for five years.
