President Abraham Lincoln will speak at Wildcat Park in Ludlow next month.
Wildcat Park in Ludlow will host a living history event featuring the 150th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21.
"The public will get to walk through and experience life as a Civil War soldier," Richard Kifer, Wildcat board member, said. "There will also be appearances by President Abraham Lincoln and his wife" (as portrayed by John W. King, a professional impersonator, and his wife).
"This will be a free educational event," Kifer said.
There will also be a dinner theatre Sunday evening. Lincoln will make a short speech, and a few soldiers will sit at each table. Tickets are available at Flickerwood Wine Cellars and Bells Market in Kane, Presents and Posies and Allegheny Cellars in Sheffield, and from Wildcat board members.
On Sunday, there will be a battlefield church service at 11 a.m. and a veterans memorial service at 3 p.m.
Donations and proceeds will benefit the veterans memorial being built at Wildcat Park.
