Just remember all the stupid decisions like the charging of the vets to use the public parks and the many many more stupid ideas this group have come up with over the years. Election Day is close by, vote them all out and get someone in there that will work for this hick town rather than drive it closer to a ghost town!

Believe Frugal is correct about the political favors concerning the proposed tourism change. And believe the source of this entire controversy eminates from the City of Warren.

M. Gramma, we live in a democratic republic, not a pure democracy. We elect council members to use their knowledge of the community and their best judgment. If you want a loya jirga, move to Afghanistan.

i haven't seen a lot of business improvement in the area from WCCBI. now they say they will need $42,000.00 for present infrastructure. WCVB didn't use $42,000 for salaries. i agree with frugal taxpayer, when there is money to be had, the greedy will find a way to put it in their pockets. i feel that's why WCCBI won't go along together with WCVB. by the way, who is going to audit the WCCBI and the monies expended?
One thing that has been missed by alot of people is that the WCVB has repeatedly stated they were opposed to the doubling of the bed tax that the commissioners are pushing, and likely WCCBI also supports. Granted it does not affect many locals directly. Those in the room renting busines it does effect along with the decision of visotors to stay overnight, or travel to another town for their overnight lodging. So this is alot larger budget being asked for by WCCBI to line their pockets. This whole thing stinks of political favors.
How many of the 9000 residents were asked by City Council what their vote was?
