Sheffield boys top Tidioute
Sheffield inched closer to the .500 mark with a 75-37 non-league win over Tidioute Charter on Wednesday.
Cale Albaugh led the way with 16 points for the Wolverines (5-7 overall) while Roger Dunham chipped in 12 and Cam Retterer added 11 points and eight rebounds off the bench. Drew Higby just missed out on a double-double, finishing with nine points and 12 rebounds.
“Everybody got to contribute which was good,” said Sheffield coach Mike Knapp. “The bench came through and played well tonight. It’s good to get back in the win column — Tidioute has some good young players.”
For Tidioute, Julian Gillenwater finished with 13 points and Ryan Williams added 11.
Sheffield returns to action Friday at Smethport, and Tidioute hosts Erie Bethel next Tuesday.
Walker Kyler scored 14 points and Luke Davidson added 10 for Sheffield in a 42-19 JV win over the Bulldogs.
