A total of 17 properties throughout the county are set to go to judicial tax sale next month.

The sale is set for May 22 at 1 p.m. at the Warren County Courthouse.

Owners, according to a public notice, have until Friday, May 19 at 4 p.m. to pay taxes, penalties, interests and costs to avoid the sale.

10 of the 17 properties are located in the City of Warren. Three are mobile home lots in Conewango Township and one property each in Eldred, Mead, Sheffield and Spring Creek townships are included.

This is the second step in the tax sale process, preceded by the upset tax sale last fall.

At this sale, properties will be sold free and clear of mortgages and liens. Properties not sold at this sale enter the county’s repository, subject to individual bids approved by each of the county’s taxing bodies – municipality, county and school district.
