Application time open next week for Project Bundle-Up

The Warren Salvation Army is an additional one-day application event as part of Project Bundle-Up.

While the window to apply has closed, a walk-in application hour for children under 18 and seniors over 62 is set for Oct. 2 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Salvation Army on Beech Street.

“It will be a first come first serve basis with spots being limited,” Maj. Dorothy Budd said. “. Interested people can call the office to get (a) list of required materials for the application day.”

Project Bundle-Up assists qualifying children and senior citizens with new winter outerwear for the winter season.

Budd said that individuals may receive assistance through the program once every two years and need to provide proof of household monthly income and expenses as well as verification of children.

“If you did sign up in 2022 but need a coat for your child, please sign up as we have a supply (of) new coats on a first come, first serve basis,” she said.

Anyone with questions is asked to call the Salvation Army at (814) 723-8950.

Those wishing to donate to support the program financially can do so by sending donations to 311 Beech St., Warren, and designating that the gift is for Project Bundle-Up.

Starting at $3.50/week.
