of 1973 to meet Thursday

SUGAR GROVE – The Eisenhower High School Class of 1973 will meet for breakfast at The Bucket Cafe in Sugar Grove at 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Spouses, family and friends are invited to attend.

Troop 14 to host breakfast fundraiser Sunday

The Scouts of Troop 14 out of Russell will be holding a breakfast fundraiser from 8 to 10 a.m. Sunday at American Legion, 412 Pennsylvania Ave. W., Warren. The cost is a donation. Troop 14 Scouts participate in many activities in the community from placing and removing flags in Pine Grove cemetery to participating in many community parades, Russell Memorial Day Parade and ceremony, Fourth of July parade and the Warren Christmas Walk. Troop 14 Scouts also participated in Wreaths Across America, placing wreaths at Scandia Cemetery.

Caregivers Support

Group to meet Jan. 20

The Caregivers Support Group will meet Monday, Jan. 20, at noon at Grace United Methodist Church, 501 Pennsylvania Ave. E., Warren. Enter the building via the elevator entrance and proceed to the Wesley Parlor. Those attending can bring a bag lunch and beverage. The meeting is open to the public. All caregivers, and those interested in learning about Alzheimer’s Disease or other dementia-related disorders are welcome. Meetings are devoted primarily to sharing concerns and asking questions in a confidential setting. Suggestions for topics/programs for upcoming meetings and events will be discussed. Bridge league

winners announced

Monday evening at the YMCA, Rita Mancuso and Connie Michell came in first with Shelley Dahlie and Pat Fincher in second. Adele Crossett placed first on Tuesday and Jo Simonsen was second at the Allegheny Community Center. At the Woman’s Club on Thursday, Connie Michell and Donna Holding were first and second.

The annual Bridge Marathon began on Friday. First place was claimed by Sherry Griffiths and Marge Neel with Bill Massa and Connie Michell in second.
