More than 12,500 children nationwide benefited from the Sheetz For the Kidz campaign.
In a season marked by economic strain, The Salvation Army and Sheetz For the Kidz partnered to deliver a brighter holiday to families in need. Their efforts, bolstered by a remarkable 32-year legacy of generosity, provided toys, clothing, and essentials to over 12,500 children nationwide.
Inflation left many parents choosing between rent, utilities, and holiday gifts, but the collaboration between these two organizations offered relief and hope. Sheetz For the Kidz contributed more than $2.7 million worth of items in 2024. “This program provides more than gifts; it provides relief, hope, and happiness to families,” said Brittany Funcheon, Sheetz For the Kidz Executive Director.
The Salvation Army, serving nearly 2.5 million people each holiday season, praised Sheetz’s continued support. “The Sheetz For the Kidz Holiday Program demonstrates love beyond need,” said Commissioner Kenneth Hodder, national commander of The Salvation Army.
The partnership’s impact extends beyond the holidays, offering families support during challenging times. “Our customers, employees, and business partners make this program possible. Their generosity ensures we can continue to serve more kids in our communities each year,” Funcheon added. “This program wouldn’t be possible without the support of our community.” .
Both organizations emphasize that the need doesn’t end after the holidays. Community members can support Sheetz For the Kidz through in-store donations at Sheetz locations, online contributions, or by participating in local fundraising events.
For those looking to assist The Salvation Army’s mission beyond the holiday season, donations can be made to support programs that provide food, shelter, and financial assistance for struggling families year-round.
Customers, employees, and business partners make this program possible. Their generosity ensures we can continue to serve more kids in our communities each year. Through year-round initiatives like food assistance, shelter programs, and after-school care, The Salvation Army supports 27 million people annually. Meanwhile, Sheetz For the Kidz has reached over 182,000 children since its founding in 1992.
