Blood drive is today

at Warren General Hospital

The Community Blood Bank will host a blood drive from noon to 5 p.m. today at Warren General Hospital. CBB is asking all eligible individuals to consider donating to help meet the critical need. To donate, individuals must be at least 17 years old (or 16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good health. Appointments can be scheduled by visiting www.fourhearts.org or by calling Edinger at 814-596-3395. Walk-ins are also welcome, but scheduling an appointment ensures a smoother process for donors. Blood donations take about 45 minutes.

Caregivers Support

Group to meet Thursday

The next meeting of the caregivers support group will be Thursday at 6 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 501 Pennsylvania. Ave. E., Warren. Enter the building via the Pennsylvania Avenue entrance and proceed to the Winger Room. All caregivers (men and women) and anyone interested in Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia-related diseases are welcome to attend. Free pamphlets about the various stages, behaviors, etc., of these diseases will be available as well as related books to borrow. For the week of March 24 through March 28, Warren bridge players had the following outcomes: Monday YMCA Duplicate Bridge: the team of Marge Polito and Diane Callahan, first place; the team of Pat Fincher and Kim Barber, second; Tuesday Allegheny Community Center: Alice Kellogg, first place, and Bill Massa, second place; and Thursday Woman’s Club game: Peggy Morgan, first place, and Donna Hickey, second place.
