Monday evening at the YMCA, Rita Mancuso and Connie Michell were first with Kim Barber and Mary Conarro in second. At the Allegheny Community Center on Tuesday, Marge Neel and Peggy Morgan were first and second. Marge Polito came in first on Thursday at the Woman’s Club and Peggy Morgan was second.

Outdoor Club to hike Sunday

The Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike Sunday on the Trails End Trail along Pleasant Drive in Warren. The hike will be about four miles. The group will meet at Musante Street, Warren at 1:30 p.m. Tom Patterson is the leader.

Glade Township

cleanup is May 17

GLADE – Glade Township will hold its spring clean-up event for residents from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 17, at the Glade Township Building on Cobham Park Road. The cost is $10 per car or $20 per truck. Items that will not be accepted include: batteries, wet paint cans, propane tanks, household garbage, yard waste and hazardous materials. Understanding Dementia presentation continues May 1

On Thursday, May 1, Janey Cink, manager of program outreach of the Greater Pennsylvania Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, will present “Understanding Dementia, Part II.” The talk will include discussion of characteristics in different stages of the disease and behaviors experienced. The workshop will be held on the fourth floor at the Northern Pennsylvania Regional College Conference Room, in the former PNC Bank Building, 300 Second Avenue, Warren, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The free presentation is open to the public and anyone interested in Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias.
