Winter weather advisory issued for Warren County

A winter weather advisory has been issued for Warren and McKean counties from 8 p.m. this evening through 11 a.m. Wednesday. The highest amounts of lake effect snow will be seen along and to the north of Route 6, the National Weather Service said.

Total accumulation is expected up to 3 inches.

“Plan on slippery road conditions,” the Weather Service said. “The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning commute. … The first snow of the year can often cause problems on the road as people adjust to winter driving conditions.”

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission remind motorists to adjust speeds based on driving conditions as winter weather impacts will include snow covered roads and limited visibility in some areas.
