Traffic stop yields multiple drugs, firearm in Conewango Twp.
An April 27 traffic stop in Conewango Township netted much more than vehicle violations.
The Warren County Drug Task Force said in a release Friday morning that 18 grams of cocaine, methamphetamine and fentanyl and a pistol were located in the vehicle.
Investigators identify the men in the vehicle as Timothy D. Peters, North Warren, and Todd Haskins, Frewsburg.
“Through investigation, Chief County Detective Kibbey and K9 Dina were requested to the scene,” the statement said. “K9 Dina did alert to the presence of a controlled substance or substances within the vehicle.”
A subsequent search warrant resulted in the seizure of the controlled substances as well as digital scales, cash and a pistol.
Investigators say that Peters was charged as a person not to possess a firearm, possession with intent to delver, possession of a controlled substance, possession of instruments of a crime and traffic offenses. They say he was placed in the county jail on April 29.
“A felony warrant was also obtained for Todd Haskins,” the statement explains. “He remains wanted.”
City of Warren police and the Pennsylvania State Police assisted at the scene.
