Hot dogs and drinks will be available from 11 a.m. until sold out. For a $5 donation you will receive a Smith’s brand hot dog, beverage, bag of chips, and a homemade dessert. There will even be homemade Texas hot sauce for the dogs, while supplies last of course. Book “sale” items include a variety of “gently used” books, and DVDs for all ages. There will also be a Large Print, Christian Fiction, and kids/youth section to make perusing easier.
The majority of the Book Sale will be held indoors this year and there will be an area to sit down and enjoy a hot dog on site. All proceeds from this annual fall fundraiser directly benefit the Youngsville Public Library. There will also be a free raffle opportunity to win a $50 Amazon Gift card. On Sept. 7, be sure to bring your library card (and photo ID) with you. Stop in at the circulation desk and while you’re browsing through the book sale items, we’ll confirm or update your patron information and you’ll receive a free chance at a $50 amazon gift card (two winners drawn). The amazon gift card opportunity is through Sept. 13 for patrons who can’t make the book sale date. If you don’t have a library card or it is missing/lost no worries. Just bring your photo ID and you can register for a new patron card. It only takes a few minutes to register and you can receive a free Amazon Gift Card chance too. Remember that during the book “sale” on Saturday, the library will be open for “regular patron services” such as public computer use, free wi-fi, and checkout of physical materials.
