Hospital CEO nominated to statewide board

The CEO of Warren General Hospital has been selected to serve on a statewide board that advocates to improve the health of Pennsylvanians.
WGH CEO Rick Allen was nominated to a two-year term on the Hospital Association of Pennsylvania (HPA) board of directors.
“I am humbled and honored to have been nominated and selected to serve on the Hospital Association of Pennsylvania ( HAP ) Board of Directors,” Allen said. “This endeavor will support our hospital vision through direct advocacy.”
“My appointment means representation of small, rural and community hospitals across the commonwealth,” he said. “I will enthusiastically and thoughtfully execute my role to help improve hospital quality and service and sustainable operations.”
HAP brings together leaders from hospitals across the state to advocate for hospitals, patients, and communities, on a variety of issues.
“HAP is a statewide membership services organization that advocates for nearly 240 Pennsylvania acute and specialty care, primary care, subacute care, long-term care, home health, and hospice providers, as well as the patients and communities they serve,” according to a release from HAP. “HAP is governed by a 28-member board that is comprised of health care leaders from across the commonwealth. The board works to set the association’s strategic direction and priorities relating to fostering a robust hospital community and promoting access to high-quality care across the commonwealth.”
