State Police release info in fatal crash
A Warren County man was killed in a Thursday morning crash in Sugar Grove Borough.
Dillon R. Edwards, 24, of Sugar Grove, was involved in the two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Teal Hill and Warren Road (Jackson Run Road) in Sugar Grove at 4:59 a.m. Thursday, according to a Monday release from Pennsylvania State Police.
According to police, Edwards was driving east on Teal Hill and failed to stop at the stop sign at Warren Road. His car crashed into a vehicle driven by Jason Bailey, 45, of Warren.
Edwards was taken to UPMC Chautauqua by Sugar Grove ambulance “where he succumbed to his injuries,” police said.
Erin M. Groves, 24, a passenger in Edwards’ vehicle, was flown to UPMC Hamot for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.
Bailey refused treatment for minor injuries, police said.
Pennsylvania State Police were assisted at the scene by Sugar Grove Volunteer Fire Department, Busti Fire Department, Lander Fire Department, and EmergyCare.
