It’s time to paint, weave baskets, fuse glass, sew, and generally enjoy the arts.
“It’s not about pretty pictures. It’s about finding your voice through the arts,” according to YMCA Arts materials.
Students of all ages and ability levels can enjoy art thanks to a collaboration between the Warren County YMCA and the Allegheny Community Center and Experience Inc.
According to YMCA Marketing Coordinator and Art Teacher Kim Slocum, “there are classes for youth, adults, and people with disabilities and special needs.”
There are a number of art camps for youth, fiber art classes for teens, and five-week art classes for adults.

On Thursday, a group of young students were enjoying the weather — and getting a great view of their subject matter. The students worked in the Breeze Point gazebo, painting landscapes including the Veterans Memorial Bridge at Hickory Street.
