Eight students awarded YHS Alumni Scholarships
Eight members of the Youngsville High School Class of 2023 have been awarded $20,000 in scholarship funding.
The support comes from the Youngsville High School Alumni Scholarship Fund.
“Created in 1985 by the YHS Class of 1950,” Sue Perrin told the Times Observer, “the Scholarship Fund has awarded 224 graduating Youngsville Seniors over $253,000.”
Students awarded $2,500 scholarships include Olivia Darling, Tristan Coccaro, Shea Walton, Brandon Sutton, Dilyn Moore, Keegan Mesel, Lilly Clough and Maddie VanGuilder.
Perrin said the Scholarship Fund is funded entirely by memorial donations and proceeds from its yearly golf tournament.
“The Alumni Scholarship Fund is grateful for the community’s generosity and pleased to be able to help area students continue their education,” she said. “Congratulations to the scholarship winners and the entire Youngsville High School Graduation Class of 2023.”
Anyone looking to contribute to the fund can send donations to PO Box 73, Youngsville, Pa., 16371.
