The Board of Directors at Superior Tire & Rubber Corp. have announced the appointment of Beau Kibbey as the new Vice President of Manufacturing and Warehousing. This promotion is a testament to Kibbey’s exceptional dedication, leadership, and career growth within the company.
Kibbey’s journey at Superior Tire began in 2005 when he joined as a load wheel trimmer. Since then, he has charted an inspiring “path to grow” within the organization, exemplifying the company’s commitment to fostering talent from within. Over the years, Beau’s unwavering dedication and versatility have seen him take on increasingly challenging roles, showcasing his capabilities and commitment.
Throughout his tenure, he has demonstrated a remarkable progression, which highlights the success of Superior Tire’s internal talent development initiatives. After starting as a press-on tire trimmer in 2006, he swiftly moved on to handle finishing lathes and the 2nd shift in 2007. Subsequently, he honed his skills as a CNC mill Operator, eventually earning the role of CNC Mill Technician in 2010. His journey towards leadership commenced in 2011 when he was appointed as the Mill Group Leader. Further promotions followed, including becoming the Mold Design Supervisor in 2013 and subsequently rising to the position of Machine Shop Manager in 2014. In 2018, Beau’s dedication led him to be appointed as the Director of Manufacturing, and in 2022, he was promoted to the position of Executive Director of Manufacturing. This diverse experience has equipped him with comprehensive insights into Superior Tire’s manufacturing operations, ensuring that the company meets the demanding expectations of its world-class customers.
One aspect that distinguishes Kibbey’s career is his unyielding commitment to continuous learning and personal development. Embracing various company-funded and self-identified educational opportunities, he completed a certificate in CAD and Numerical control at JCC in 2009, as well as a LEAN 216 course through the NWPA industrial resource center. In 2013, he achieved a 4.0 degree in the Associate of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from JCC. Additionally, Beau actively participated in management training classes offered by the American Management Association and completed a week-long course in Rubber Processing, Compression, Transfer Molding, and Rubber bonding in 2014. Since 2020, he has been an integral part of an executive management peer group in Pittsburgh sponsored by the Vistage group. Furthermore, in 2022, he participated in Superior’s 360 review and coaching program, showcasing his dedication to personal growth and improvement.
Beyond his professional achievements, Kibbey is a dedicated family man, residing in Russell with his wife, Tammy, and their two children.
