Warren man charged with attempting to lure minor into his residence
A Warren man is behind bars for allegedly attempting to lure a minor walking home from school into his apartment to view “male parts.”
Michael F. Fisher, 57, 212 1/2 Market St., was charged by City of Warren police on Oct. 19 and was held for court as a result of a preliminary hearing held Wednesday.
The incident allegedly occurred after school on Oct. 12.
A parent of the child reported to police soon thereafter what the child had disclosed – that, according to the affidavit of probable cause, a 70-year-old male about 5′ 9″ with gray hair, a belly and wearing clothing with paint on them had asked her into his apartment.
Police went to the residence and made contact with Fisher who, police say, matched the description provided by the minor. The affidavit also notes that “paint supplies were present outside his residence.”
Interviews were subsequently conducted.
Police interviewed Fisher on the 19th, according to the affidavit and “freely admitted to inviting” the minor into the residence.
“The defendant advised that he had also asked the victim… if she had even (sic) seen a ‘penis’ before.”
Court records show that Fisher has been charged with luring a child into a motor vehicle or structure, corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor – sexual offenses and criminal attempt to commit indecent exposure.
He remains behind bars on $25,000 bail.
