Gas price steady in Warren

Gas prices rose two cents in the region this week but held steady in Warren.

The regional price is now $3.65 and the price in Warren is $3.69, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report.

$3.69 is tied with several other areas for the highest in the region.

The national average rose nine cents to $3.35.

“Historically, March and April bring higher gas prices as travelers start heading out of town for Spring Break and demand increases,” the report detailed.

That’s reflected in data from the Energy Information Administration that shows an increase in demand as well as a decrease in domestic gasoline stocks.

Oil prices ticked down this week.

“Oil prices fell after the EIA’s weekly report showed that total domestic commercial crude stocks increased by 4.2 million barrels to 447.2 million barrels last week,” the report details. “The supply increase could signal that crude demand is loosening, contributing to a reduction in oil prices.”

Starting at $2.99/week.
