Silver Star Cinemas has a grand opening set for Friday at the former Dipson Theatres location at 4160 Market St.
“Silver Star Cinemas is dedicated to providing the community with a wide range of captivating films,” new owner Liam Cramer said. “Starting March 8, movie enthusiasts can look forward to a fantastic lineup of blockbusters including ‘Kung Fu Panda 4,’ ‘Cabrini,’ and ‘Dune.’ With multiple showtimes available, moviegoers can easily plan their visit and enjoy these highly anticipated films.”
To book tickets and check movie releases, the site silverstarcinemas.com has been launched.
“Silver Star Cinemas is a locally owned company,” Cramer said, “dedicated to providing top-quality entertainment experiences to communities across the Warren, Pa. and Jamestown, N.Y. regions. With a commitment to customer satisfaction and a passion for film, Silver Star Cinemas aims to create unforgettable memories for every moviegoer.”
Cramer said that Dipson gift cards and passes will be accepted until Aug. 1.
“This ensures that moviegoers can easily utilize their existing gift cards and passes for a seamless cinema experience,” he said. “Silver Star Cinemas offers competitive prices for tickets and concessions, making it an affordable choice for movie enthusiasts.”
There are also opportunities for auditorium rentals for events like private screenings, birthday parties and corporate events.
Cramer highlighted an upcoming premier – “Ghostbusters Frozen Over” – on March 22 at 6 p.m.
“The premiere will feature a special appearance from the North Warren PA Ghostbusters, adding an extra element of excitement to the evening,” Cramer said. “Silver Star Cinemas is excited to bring an exceptional movie experience to the Warren community. Whether you’re a fan of action-packed blockbusters or heartwarming family films, Silver Star Cinemas has something for everyone.”
The change in Warren comes after Dipson Theatres closed its Chautauqua Mall location in Lakewood, N.Y. in August. In its release, the company alluded to ongoing challenges and “circumstances beyond our control” as leading to the decision. Specifically, Dipson Theatres cited issues with a “leaky roof” within the theater at the Chautauqua Mall. Dipson also owns the Lakewood Cinema 8.
