Ellwood National Forge celebrates training graduates
On November 15, Ellwood National Forge celebrated the graduation of two team members, Justin Burton and Robert Hadley, from the Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing (ATDM) program.
Over four months, Burton and Hadley engaged in learning from leading defense manufacturing experts in Danville, Virginia.
This graduation marks not just an individual achievement for Burton and Hadley but also signifies ENF’s unwavering commitment to growth and excellence, as this is the second consecutive year the company has invested in the ATDM program.
With nine team members now enriched by this training, each participant completes 600 hours of focused instruction, honing the skills essential for their career advancement.
The celebration was filled with pride and unity as the ENF team honored Burton and Hadley’s accomplishments during a ceremony.
The event featured a formal certificate presentation attended by team members, supervisors, and executives, all celebrating their colleagues’ hard work and determination.
The ATDM program empowers adult learners with the vital skills needed to make a meaningful impact in the Defense Industrial Base (DIB), a crucial sector responsible for supplying parts to the U.S. military. With a mission to enhance military equipment production, ATDM equips participants with the expertise required for excellence in the industry.
Focusing on skilled trades, the ATDM curriculum includes comprehensive training in critical areas, including additive manufacturing, non-destructive testing, CNC machining, quality control inspection (metrology), and welding.
Each participating team member emerges from the program with multiple machining certificates, gaining invaluable experience from classroom learning and hands-on practice that empowers them to excel in their careers.
