Holiday traditions are a fantastic way to get into the spirit of magic and giving. Angela Morando-Taylor’s performing arts program, Taylor Made Dance & Theatre had a long-standing tradition of performing Christmas shows in Boca Raton, Fla.

Founded nearly 25 years ago, the Taylor Made Dance and Theatre was a dance and theatre powerhouse in a rich theatrical community. When COVID-19 changed the world, Morando-Taylor, her husband Michael, and children Eva and Xander moved to Sugar Grove, Morando-Taylor’s hometown.

Moving a studio that has been a long-standing pillar of an arts community to a small town has had challenges. Still, Warren County’s pool of talented children has quickly recognized the talent and expertise that Taylor-Morando brings.

In its first large-scale production since its inception in Warren in 2023, Taylor Made Dance & Theatre will entertain audiences of all ages with singing, dancing, and true Christmas joy.

Morando-Taylor is the program and show’s artistic director. Her husband, Michael Taylor, contributed his talents to writing the script and will narrate the show. Carrie Pearson of Warren contributed choreography and is a dance instructor for the program.

With 33 students of all ages from around the county, the audience will enjoy many types of dance and song. From elves being mischievous in SparkleJolly, which features Greyson Ling and Shelby Johnson along with little elves played by TMDT’s younger students, a gorgeous pointe ballet routine to Sugar Plum Fairy performed by Lettie Pearson, to a final number of O Holy Night with soloist Jaden Fafana, the TMDT Company, and joined by EMHS Choir.

Other featured performers include Macy Winicki, Anna Courson, Avalynne Russell, Addison Schott, and Elise Amsdell.

There is also a rumor that the big man, Santa, will make an appearance.

“A Taylor Made Christmas is an annual show we put on that is free for any student who wants to participate. We put it together in one month, top to bottom. It truly tests everyone’s abilities, and the students and staff have really risen to the challenge. You will be amazed at what they have accomplished in a month!” said Morando-Taylor.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for students and senior citizens. They are available from any TMDT company member or at the door on the day of the show.

Starting at $2.99/week.
