State Rep. Kathy Rapp has earned another term with voters
According to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Election results, Rapp had 73% of the vote against challenger Erin Willman who received 27%.
For Rapp, it will be her 11th term in serving the 65th Legislative District that includes Warren, Crawford and Forest counties.
In Warren County, Rapp received 14,303 of her 23,026 votes. Willman, a Democrat, received a total of 8,512 votes with 5,915 coming from Warren.
Before being elected to the state House in November 2004, Rapp was involved in the health and human services field, serving as a community relations representative with Beverly Health Care, where she managed admissions and marketing for two health care facilities in Warren.
Prior to that, she gained experience in working with students with special needs. She served as a compliance monitor within the Pennsylvania Department of Education to examine special education programs throughout the state and performed work as a consultant with the Parent Education Network.
Willman is well known in the area as the founder of White Cane Coffee. She quickly organized a write-in campaign this spring to secure a spot on the Nov. 5 election ballot while gaining a boost from U.S. Sen. Bob Casey, who asked Willman to testify before the U.S. Senate earlier this year and then followed that testimony with a visit to the Warren-based business.
