The Youngsville American Legion Auxiliary Post 658 held its annual Children’s Christmas Party earlier this month. This year, they were able to provide gifts to 30 local children in attendance with additional gifts being provided to Toys for Tots. Each November, a signup sheet is posted at the Youngsville American Legion where Post and social members can sign up children ages newborn to 12 years old to receive a gift at the party held the second Sunday in December. Additionally, the American Legion Auxiliary was able to provide 12 veterans who are residents of the Rouse Home in Youngsville with Christmas gifts. The gifts were delivered on Dec. 11 by Auxiliary members, Shirlee Granger-Peters and Alicia Elfstrom to Traci Stoddard, Life Enrichment Manager at the Rouse to be handed out during their Christmas Party.
