Superior Tire official retiring after 43 years
After more than 43 years, William (Bill) T. LeMeur is retiring from Superior Tire & Rubber Corp. at the end of the year.
LeMeur’s journey with the company began in April 1981, following several summer roles in the plant.
Starting as molding manager, LeMeur worked his way into a leadership role. In 1987, he was appointed director of sales and marketing, where he played a role in shaping Superior Tire & Rubber Corp.’s market presence. By 1993, he had earned the title of executive vice president.
“I am the most fortunate peddler. Having the best products in the market, produced by the best team in the industry, made the day-to-day competition exhilarating,” LeMeur said.
In retirement, LeMeur said he looks forward to splitting his time between Warren and Kure Beach, N.C., alongside his partner, Janine R. Tomassoni.
