‘Walk 31 Miles In January’ challenge takes step

Was walking more one of your New Year’s resolutions? The American Cancer Society has announced a challenge that could possibly help you with that goal while making a difference and raising money for a good cause.

The American Cancer Society (ACS) is organizing the “Walk 31 Miles In January” challenge for January. This virtual event encourages participants to walk a total of 31 miles throughout the month to support cancer research, patient services, and awareness initiatives

Individuals can join the challenges through the ACS’s virtual platforms, including Facebook and Instagram. Participants are encouraged to track their progress and share updates on social media to raise awareness and funds.The participants can set up personal fundraising pages to collect donations from friends and family. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society.
