Monthly Therapeutic Drum Circle at the Music Conservatory is Friday

Provided photo The Music Conservatory hosts a therapeutic drum circle once a month that is free and open to the community.

Looking for a fun and relaxing way to unwind? The Music Conservatory invites residents to join the monthly therapeutic drum circle, which is hosted at 220 Pennsylvania Ave. W. on the first Friday of every month from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m.

Led by Rich Schuler of Jamestown Thunder Drums, this drum circle is open to participants of all ages and skill levels. No experience is needed — bring enthusiasm and readiness to drum along! Whether you’re a seasoned drummer or a first-timer, this event will be engaging and inclusive.

If you own a hand drum, feel free to bring it along. Don’t have one? No problem. The conservatory provides drums for anyone who needs them, ensuring everyone can participate.

Drum circles are known for their therapeutic benefits, helping reduce stress, boost creativity, and build community.

In a review left on the Music Conservatory’s Facebook page,

“Drumming is very fun and soothing, and trust me no matter your level of experience, you will find it almost automatic to find the rhythm, and after just a little bit, you might find that your beat is the one others blend in with, very beautiful.”

This event is perfect for families, friends, or individuals looking for a unique way to connect and have fun.
